Letters PolicyLetters to the editor are welcomed and will be published as space allows. Letters must be signed with the writer’s phone number for verification purposes. No personal attacks will be printed. Letters are subject to editing for length, grammar and clarity. All letters are subject to laws governing obscenity, libel, privacy and disruption of the school process, as are all contents of the paper.General newspaper policyThe student newspaper at the Business, Education and Technology Academy is a public forum for student opinion. Journalism students are offered opportunities to inform, investigate, entertain, interpret and evaluate all accepted functions of traditional American press.Included materials will be those of responsible journalism, including restraint by the students and adviser in matters such as libel, privacy, obscenity and copyright. Opinions do not necessarily reflect views of anyone other than the BETA Buzz staff. Unsigned editorials express the views of the majority of the editorial board.
