Pre-AP Physics

Pre-AP Physics is a course in Physics designed to prepare the student for entry into AP level Physics. The course in Physics is the study of matter, forces, energy and their interactions. Students are introduced to fundamental concepts in the areas of mechanics, heat, sound, electricity, magnetism and light. Observations of the laws of force and motion, the nature of light, wave phenomena, and properties of electricity and magnetism are integral components of the course.

AP Physics

Focuses on the big ideas typically included in the first semester of an algebra-based, introductory college-level physics sequence and provide students with enduring understandings to support future advanced course work in the sciences. Through inquiry-based learning, students will develop critical thinking and reasoning skills, as defined by the AP Science Practices.

Pre-AP Biology

Biology is the study of living organisms, their origins, how they survive, reproduce, change over time, and interact with each other and their environments. The Pre-AP Biology curriculum is an introductory course taught in two semesters of high school. The primary objective of the course is to provide students with a fundamental understanding of modern biology and scientific processes, building a foundation for success in the college level AP courses to follow.

AP Biology

An introductory college-level biology course. Students cultivate their understanding of biology through inquiry-based investigations as they explore the following topics: evolution, cellular processes, energy and communication, genetics, information transfer, ecology, and interactions.

Pre-AP Biology
Pre- AP Eniviromental Sciences

Explore and investigate the interrelationships of the natural world, identify and analyze environmental problems, both natural and human-made, evaluate the relative risks associated with these problems, and examine alternative solutions for resolving and/or preventing them.
